Department of Security >>Pedestrian Gate Closures In an effort to minimize access to the hospital, Jackson will be closing the pedestrian gates this weekend. The only place where access will be completely blocked is the walkway between the Rosenstiel Medical Sciences Building and Park Plaza West. In addition, employees who work at Bascom Palmer or the Mental Health Center and need to walk to Jackson or the Metrorail station should use the pedestrian walkway across the street from Bascom Palmer, by McDonald’s. Streets are NOT affected by the gate closings; driving patterns will be unchanged. The gates will close at 10 p.m. Friday and reopen at 6 a.m. Monday. If the trial goes well, Jackson expects to continue this and expand the project to week nights as well. |
