Public Relations Emergencies
While scandals are rare in higher education, virtually
every institution must occasionally deal with such situations.
This might involve a highly visible lawsuit, accusations of
wrongdoing, student misconduct, or a variety of events
that can potentially impact the
institution's reputation. The impact of these events is
exacerbated when they result in news
coverage. Media access is governed by the
Medical
Campus Media Access Policy.
When such events occur, the Assistant
Vice-President for Public Relations, in close consultation with the
Dean or his designee, and Legal Counsel will:
